How Do People Spend Their Time At Work?
In a recent study on wasting time at work, the top time-wasting activities were using the internet (48%), socializing with co-workers (33%), and handling personal business (30%). Not surprisingly the top excuse for time wasters was lack of satisfaction at work. Click here to see the more results and check out the infographic.

In a recent Life Strategies survey asking about the benefits of showing appreciation at work, 78% responded that it increases employee engagement and 68% said it boosts productivity. Say thank you to someone today!
A recent Accountemps survey looked into the prevalence and impact of remote work arrangements on chief financial officers (CFOs). Nearly a quarter of respondents (22%) reported an increase in remote work arrangements over the last 3 years in their companies. According to the article, such arrangements are a great employee incentive and retention tool, and are easier than ever to implement with the prevalence of technology. The article continues to highlight five tips for employers and employees centring around communication, resources, planning, security, and camaraderie.
