Alexandra Dueck
Intern
Alexandra Dueck is a Masters in Counselling Psychology student at Trinity Western University. She is thrilled to facilitate e-counselling workshops as a counselling intern with the innovative Life Strategies team. Completing internships at Vancouver Multicultural Counselling and Douglas College, she has learned the importance of empowering individuals to create positive hope-filled futures. She values opportunities to collaborate with clients to help them discover, clarify, and assess their needs and the various ways of meeting them.
Graduating with Great Distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002, she has continued to seek out opportunities for education and knowledge. She has received the prestigious SSHRC Scholarship to financially support her thesis studying the impact of losing a loved one on career decisions and has been inspired by the research participants' stories of growth and transformation.
Alexandra has been commended on her ability to connect meaningfully with individuals creating space for them to pursue greater significance in life and in career choices. She excels in interpersonal connections and demonstrates strong initiative and leadership skills. Passionate about inspiring her clients, she seeks to instil in her clients optimism and the resources necessary to overcome obstacles and live fully.
